The GLR does not work alone. Our partnerships with Ohio’s leading economic development organizations give our members access to state-level resources, site selection expertise, workforce programming, and funding opportunities that extend well beyond what any single organization can provide.
Allen Economic Development Group
The Allen Economic Development Group is the primary economic development organization for Allen County, working to attract, retain, and grow businesses in the region. The GLR partners closely with AEDG to deliver resources, support development projects, and advance shared economic goals.
Regional Growth Partnership
The Regional Growth Partnership is Northwest Ohio’s leading economic development organization and a key JobsOhio partner. Together they work to attract new investment, support business expansion, and connect the Greater Lima Region to state-level incentives and development resources.
OhioMeansJobs
OhioMeansJobs connects employers and job seekers across Ohio through workforce development centers and online tools. Through this partnership, GLR members gain access to recruitment support, training programs, and workforce resources tailored to the needs of Northwest Ohio employers.
Downtown Lima, Inc.
Downtown Lima, Inc. works to strengthen and revitalize the heart of Lima through business development, community programming, and downtown investment. The GLR supports Downtown Lima’s mission as part of its broader commitment to regional vibrancy and community growth.
Lima/Allen County Chamber of Commerce
The Lima/Allen County Chamber of Commerce is the region’s leading advocate for business, working to improve economic vitality and enhance quality of life across the community. The GLR works alongside the Chamber to support and connect businesses throughout Allen County and the broader region.

Port Authority of Allen County
The Port Authority of Allen County is a public economic development organization established under Ohio law. It supports local business, industrial, and infrastructure growth by financing, leasing, and developing real estate projects. Working closely with the Allen Economic Development Group, it helps advance community improvements and development initiatives, including projects such as the Memorial Hall restoration and roadway enhancements.
Building Tomorrow’s Workforce Today
MakerFest connects high school freshmen and sophomores with the careers and employers of tomorrow through hands-on demonstrations at the Allen County Fairgrounds. The event spans five career pathways: Healthcare, Manufacturing, Skilled Trades, Public Works and Safety, and Business and Logistics.
